Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan on Saturday, 2 March, suspended the Vice Chancellor of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University in Wayanad in connection with the recent death of a student. He blamed the VC’s “callous attitude” and suggested a judicial probe, too. Earlier, he condemned the “culture of violence” in the state, saying the SFI’s role in the death was “obvious”.
