Kerala liquor policy row: UDF demands ministers’ resignation

The Congress urged the government to announce a judicial probe into the allegations and to sack the excise minister.

The UDF stepped up its attack against the Left government in Kerala over its liquor policy and demanded the resignation of Excise and Tourism ministers over alleged corruption. The Congress-led front said a crime branch probe would not reveal the truth behind the alleged graft, and therefore a judicial probe should be carried out.
