Kerala and Karnataka top in suicides of medical students in India. Kerala, with nine cases, tops in suicides in the MBBS programme from 2018 to 2022. Tamil Nadu followed with eight. Andhra and Karnataka reported five cases each, Telangana one, and Puducherry, three. Among postgraduate students, Karnataka reported 11 cases. Puducherry reported four cases, while the other four southern states reported one each.
