Kerala govt okays research into Enrica Lexie incident

The tragic 2012 firing incident sparked a diplomatic fight between India and Italy.

The Kerala government has approved a research initiative into the Enrica Lexie case, in which two Indian fishermen were killed by Italian marines in 2012. The sanction was accorded — with riders — to Dr Nishan MG, an assistant professor of Physics at the Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram. She had sought permission to publish a research article on the incident’s forensic examination.
