A doctor was suspended in Kerala’s Kozhikode on Thursday, 16 May after the wrong surgery was performed on a four-year-old girl at the Government Medical College Hospital in the district. The child had been scheduled for surgery to remove a sixth finger on her hand at the Medical College Hospital, instead of which an operation was performed on her tongue mistakenly.
