Kerala college rejects demand for on-campus namaz space

A controversy is brewing in Kerala after a church-run college turned down a group of students’ demand for space on the campus to offer namaz. The Nirmala College in Moovattupuzha rejected the demand, saying no religious activities could be permitted on its premises. However, it said students would be allowed to visit a nearby mosque if they requested in writing.
