Karnataka won’t release Cauvery water to TN: Shivakumar

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Monday asserted that Cauvery river water would not be released to Tamil Nadu. Amid criticism against the government over allegations that Cauvery water was being released from the Krishnaraja Sagar dam to Tamil Nadu, he said the discharge was meant for Bengaluru. “We are not fools to release water (to TN),” he said.
