A joint rescue team on Thursday afternoon, 4 April, successfully retrieved 14-month-old Satwik Mujagonda from a 20-foot open borewell in Lachayan village, Indi taluk, Vijayapura district, Karnataka. The 18-hour operation was supervised by a team of NDRF, SDRF and local authorities. The boy has been rushed to a hospital. He accidentally fell into an open borewell while playing on Wednesday.
