Karnataka records 134% excess rain

Following the heavy showers, the rivers including Malaprabha, Krishna, Tungabhadra and Cauvery across the state are flowing in full spate.

Parts of Karnataka witnessed heavy waterlogging and flooding on Wednesday, 4 June, following heavy rains. According to KSNDMC, the state has recorded 134 percent excess rain across all regions in the last 24 hours, with reporting 17.8 mm against the average expected rain of 7.6mm. However, North Karnataka only reported a mere 8 percent excess rain.
