Karnataka, Gujarat lead India’s clean energy transition race: Report

The report calls for a need to shift focus from national-level to state-level studies to understand the nuances of electricity transition.

Karnataka and Gujarat continue to lead the race for clean energy transition but Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh need to step up efforts, a new research report said. Kerala, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, and Maharashtra all exhibited considerable progress in certain aspects but also lower performance in other aspects, the joint report by IEEFA and Ember said.
