BSP Telangana chief Praveen Kumar quits party ‘under pressure’

Whether he opts to establish a new party and maintain the alliance or he joins the BRS and contests from Nagarkurnool remains uncertain.

BSP’s Telangana president RS Praveen Kumar resigned from the party “under pressure” on Saturday, 16 March, soon after the party sealed an electoral pact with the BRS to contest from Nagarkurnool (SC) and Hyderabad Lok Sabha seats. He said the BJP pressured him through the BSP national leadership to snap ties with the BRS, but he could not depart from his values.
