Karnataka CM’s son Yathindra elected to Legislative Council

The election was necessitated as the term of 11 MLCs— six from BJP, four from Congress and one from JD(S)— will end on 17 June.

All 11 candidates, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son Dr Yathindra Siddaramaiah and former BJP national General Secretary CT Ravi, were on Thursday, 6 June, declared elected unopposed to Karnataka Legislative Council, a poll official said. The election was necessitated as the term of 11 MLCs— six from BJP, four from Congress and one from JD(S)— will end on 17 June.
