Rough seas cause havoc in coastal hamlets of Kerala

Coastal areas of Kerala and southern Tamil Nadu may experience the ‘kallakkadal‘ phenomenon from 2.30 am on Saturday to 11.30 pm on Sunday, 5 May, weather agencies alerted fishermen and coastal residents. The red alert was issued for the phenomenon of “sudden swell of the seas causing rough waves” by Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services and NDMA.
