The Telangana government on Wednesday, 10 July, appointed Dr Jitender IPS as the Director General Police (DGP) in the state. Ravi Gupta IPS who held the post of the DGP has been transferred as Special Chief Secretary to the state Home Department. The state government also ordered the transfer and appointment of 15 other IPS posts.
