Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Tuesday, 19 March, said JD(S) was committing suicide by fielding former prime minister HD Devegowda’s son-in-law Dr CN Manjunath on a BJP ticket from Bangalore Rural against Shivakumar’s brother and thrice MP DK Suresh. He said, “The JD(S) is embarrassed by the BJP alliance. BJP has done this to its partners in other states too.”
