There will be a no-holds-barred fight between Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP and Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam (in alliance with BJP and Jana Sena) in the 13 May simultaneous elections in Andhra Pradesh. Can Jagan overcome the “caste factor” with his welfare schemes and doorstep deliveries? Perhaps yes, but not to the extent that it could override caste considerations.
