In a first, wild elephant tramples farmer to death in Telangana

The forest officials have cordoned off the entire area to make sure that elephant does not enter the village, they said.

A 35-year-old farmer died after a wild elephant attacked him in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad district of Telangana on Wednesday, 3 April. The incident, the first of its kind, occurred on the outskirts of Burepalli village when the victim was working in an agricultural field. Forest officials cordoned off the area to make sure the elephant does not enter the village.
