Hetero Pharmaceuticals, through its eight subsidiaries, purchased electoral bonds worth ₹137.5 crore of which ₹117.5 crore was donated to BRS, EB data reveals. Notably, ₹50 crore contributions occurred shortly before Hetero Group Chairman, B Partha Saradhi Reddy, was nominated as Rajya Sabha member by BRS in June 2022. The group gave ₹15 crore to BJP, and ₹5 crore to Congress.
