Elections are over. Narendra Modi leads the next government, but the people have clipped his wings. The civil servant has now to re-assess his role. Complete subservience and servility to his master can no longer win him laurels and plum positions. This election could be a return to normalcy for civil servants, particularly district officers and probe agency heads.
