In a shot in the arm for Congress in Telangana, BRS leader and former Union minister S Venugopal Achary joined the party on Tuesday, 16 April, in the presence of Chief Minister and state Congress chief A Revanth Reddy. Achary had been MLA and minister in undivided Andhra Pradesh and Union MoS on behalf of TDP in the Vajpayee government.
