Karnataka police in Gokak, Belagavi district, busted a fake currency racket allegedly inspired by the web series “Farzi” (2023). Six arrests were made, with the accused operating from Arabhavi and Mudalagi. They also deceived villagers in Gokak taluk by promising to double their money. They were notoriously famous for producing fake ₹100 and ₹500 notes, it was found.
