The Congress’ Central Election Committee has finalised candidates for several constituencies, including 17 seats for Karnataka, but amid a nationwide clamour against “dynasty politics”, eight of these candidates are likely to be relatives of Congress party leaders. Five possible candidates are children of serving Karnataka ministers, Satish Jarkiholi, Laxmi Hebbalkar, Eshwar Khandre, Shivananda Patil and Ramalinga Reddy.
