Elections for 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, 25 Lok Sabha seats and 150 Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh will be held on 13 May.

The Election Commission on Tuesday, 22 April, ordered Telangana Chief Secretary to transfer DCP (South Zone) of Hyderabad P Sai Chaitanya, sources said. The EC also transferred Andhra Pradesh intelligence chief P Sitaramanjaneyulu and Vijayawada police Commissioner Kanthi Rana Tata with immediate effect. The Commission ordered the transferred officers should not be assigned any election duty till polls conclude.
