Doctors say eating too fast could impact digestion and lead to gaining weight. Fast eating means, often, large bites are swallowed without adequately chewing them. So, big chunks lie in the stomach for long, exposed to stomach acids. This prolonged exposure can damage the gastric mucosa, increasing the risk of gastritis.
