DMK allies hopeful of seat-sharing pact in TN soon

The Congress and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi said the parleys with the Dravidian major DMK have been smooth.

The Congress in Tamil Nadu and another DMK ally, the VCK, on Saturday said that a seat-sharing pact would be signed soon, amidst a stalemate in discussions. The allies said the parleys with the DMK have been smooth. While the Congress did not specify the number of Lok Sabha seats it was seeking, the VCK said it would demand four.
