Massive pre-dawn landslides that struck Meppadi, Mundakai Town and Chooraalmala in Kerala’s Wayanad between 1 am and 4 am on Tuesday, 30 July are proving to be devastating. As the death toll climbs, at least 60 have been declared dead so far. Local residents said hundreds of people are feared trapped in the debris. Several families have been moved to various camps.
