The Opposition in Kerala has voiced concerns about transparency in the upcoming delimitation process for local body elections. Alleging potential foul play, Opposition leaders flayed the government for not consulting them in a departure from previous practices. On 20 May the cabinet embarked on delimitation to redraw boundaries of local body wards for the local body elections in 2025.
