Doctors are shedding light on a critical medical situation where drugs that look and sound like confuse patients and even endanger them. The look alike and sounds alike (LASA) drugs often lead to medication errors with potentially dangerous consequences for patients. There is a need to review trademark search reports to prevent misleading brand names before granting marketing authorization.
