Political attention in Karnataka has shifted to the 13 June biennial election for 11 seats of Karnataka Legislative Council. Elections for six other Council seats are on 3 June. The MLAs will elect these 11 Council members. Considering their strength in the Assembly, Congress may likely field seven nominees, BJP three and JD(S) one for the biennial elections.
