The Congress has demanded that the CPI(M) leadership explain why the latter’s convener, E Jayarajan, met BJP leader Prakash Javadekar. They met on Friday, triggering speculations and embarrassing the Left. However, on Saturday, CPI(M) leader MV Jayarajan said that the Congress created the controversy to hide the fact that their leaders were joining the BJP.
