Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud on Monday, 1 March said investigative agencies must pick their battles and not spread themselves thin to focus on crimes that threaten the nation’s security, economic health and public order. Expressing concern over “unwarranted” confiscation of personal devices during raids, the CJI underlined the need for balance between investigative imperatives and individual privacy rights.
