Central Consumer Protection Authority has asked FSSAI to look into claims that Nestle’s Cerelac in India violates WHO guidelines. A report by Public Eye asserted that products sold in low-income countries contained higher sugar content compared to affluent regions. Meanwhile, Nestle India has said it has reduced added sugar in baby food products in India by over 30 percent.
