Karnataka High Court has annulled orders of Union home ministry that led to the cancellation of registration of Centre for Wildlife Studies’ under FCRA. Founded by scientist K Ullas Karanth, Bengaluru-based CWS faced “suspension” of registration under the FCRA in 2021. The court said the ministry’s refusal to give a personal hearing to the petitioner rendered the order unsustainable.
