A campaign to protect the region’s environmental and cultural heritage has taken centre stage in Karnataka’s Kodagu district. A movement to stop sale of land to ‘outsiders‘, a demand for e-pass and cap on number of tourists is gathering steam in Kodagu. The Codava National Council has launched a ‘Save Kodagu’ drive against rampant commercialisation.
