In a touching tale, Tamil Nadu’s Forest Department reunited a 60-day-old elephant calf and a sub-adult male elephant with their herd in the Satyamangalam Tiger Reserve on Tuesday, 5 March. Efforts to save their ailing mother, however, turned futile, a senior official said. The cow elephant was found in a distressed condition with her two calves on 3 March.
