The CAG’s Karnataka Finance Audit Report for 2022-23 stated that the Union government had failed to adhere to the 15th Finance Commission recommendations. The report said the Centre failed to release nearly 30.5 percent of the recommended grants to Karnataka. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had led a protest in Delhi, against the Centre for not adhering to the recommendations of the finance commission.
