In this year’s Union budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, there was significant focus on the nation’s defence sector. This was the case last year too, which underscores the government’s commitment to national security and modernisation. The budget this year allocated a substantial ₹6.22 lakh crore to the sector, a 4.79 percent increase over the previous year’s Budget Estimate.
