BJP’s Hassan leader Devaraje Gowda — who wrote to BJP leadership about Prajwal’s videos — has been booked for various charges including sexual harassment. The first complaint was filed on 31 March by an artist, accusing him of hurling casteist slurs. His spouse said on 1 April that Gowda sexually harassed her. Devaraje unsuccessfully contested the Holenarsipura seat in 2023.
