BJP leaders tried to lay siege to the Karnataka chief minister’s office-cum-residence in Bengaluru alleging rampant corruption in allotting alternative sites (plots) by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority but were stopped and taken into preventive custody. Party leaders BY Vijayendra, R Ashoka, S Sunil Kumar, Araga Jnanendra, S Suresh Kumar, CN Ashwath Narayan and CT Ravi were detained.
