President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday, 30 March, conferred Bharat Ratna on former prime ministers PV Narasimha Rao and Chaudhary Charan Singh, agriculture scientist MS Swaminathan and twice Bihar chief minister Karpoori Thakur posthumously at a ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
