BBMP has submitted its Community Involvement Lake Conservation Policy 2024 to the Karnataka HC which will be rolled out to the public.

The BBMP has invited proposals to rejuvenate 185 in the next four years, Preeti Gehlot, Special Commissioner for Forest, Environment and Climate Change, said. She said there are several challenges, including encroachment, sewage and chemical inflows, solid waste dumping, etc. These factors, along with inadequate funding and lack of staff and interdepartmental synergy, affect proper planning, Gehlot said.
