The Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha constituency in Karnataka is witnessing a close fight between Congress and BJP. The two candidates are first timers. M Lakshman of Congress is a Vokkaliga and for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, victory here is a matter of prestige because the BJP has fielded Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, the scion of the erstwhile Mysuru Royal family.
