Autism & misleading info: 40% parents refuse vaccinations for kids

Nearly 40 percent of parents of autistic children in India refuse to get their wards vaccinated, especially the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccine, doctors caution. Some parents wrongly believe autism is due to vaccines. Mushrooming alternative therapy centres that offer ‘cure’ for autism are spreading misinformation. Children missing their vaccines are getting diagnosed of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
