Special Chief Secretary (Finance) Shamsher Singh Rawat issued a government order (GO) on Friday night for the release of DA to government employees for the period from July 1, 2019 to December 31, 2021.

Less than 24 hours before the announcement of the Lok Sabha and Andhra Pradesh Assembly election schedule, the state government issued orders to release dearness allowance of multiple periods to its employees. The government ordered the release of DA from 1 July 2019 to 31 December 2021. The state government also revised the DA from 26.39 percent to 30.03 percent of the basic pay.
