After losing its primary ally in Tamil Nadu, the AIADMK, the BJP has signed on several smaller parties as allies to increase its vote share.

The BJP on Thursday declared its third list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, naming nine nominees from Tamil Nadu. Most prominent are Tamil Nadu unit chief K Annamalai from Coimbatore and former Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan from Chennai South. Keen on an increased vote share, the BJP fielded its big guns in Tamil Nadu.
