Nirmala tops intermeddiate first year

A girl student, who narrowly escaped child marriage after being rescued by the administration last year, has topped the first-year intermediate board examination in Andhra Pradesh. G Nirmala from Kurnool district secured 421 marks out of 440. She is a student of the government run Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) and aspires to be an IPS officer.
