A day after replacing Chennai Police Commissioner Dr Sandeep Rai Rathore with A Arun, the Tamil Nadu government transferred 18 more IPS officers on 9 July. This reshuffle follows the brutal killing of Tamil Nadu BSP president K Armstrong, who was hacked by a gang disguised as delivery executives outside his Perambur home on 5 July.
