1 in 3 children in AP, 1 in 5 in Telangana have impaired kidney function

Researchers discovered that 29.6 percent of children and adolescents in Andhra and 19.8 percent in Telangana have impaired kidney function.

A study revealed high rates of impaired kidney function among children and adolescents in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, attributing it to social factors. In Andhra Pradesh, 29.6% and in Telangana, 19.8% of young individuals were affected, the highest and second highest rates in the country respectively. Researchers from AIIMS Bathinda, IIPS Mumbai, and The George Institute for Global Health India conducted the study.
