₹20.14 cr in cash, liquor worth ₹26 cr seized in Karnataka

The general elections in Karnataka will be held in two phases on April 26 and May seven for its 28 constituencies.

Unaccounted cash to the tune of ₹20.14 crore and alcohol worth over ₹26 crore has been seized in Karnataka since the model code of conduct came into effect on 16 March, the Election Commission said on Thursday, 28 March. Total seizures, including various freebies, amount to ₹60.38 crore, they said. Elections will be held on 26 April and 7 May.
