The party also sought the rationale behind the Union government’s proposal asking what a common man would gain out of it.

Countering the BJP’s “One Nation One Election” proposal to club Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, AAP supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal batted for “One Nation One Education”.
Kejriwal was addressing party workers in Bhiwani in Haryana on Sunday, 3 September. He questioned the rationale behind the Union government’s proposal asking what a common man would gain out of it.
“We should rather be stressing on issues of giving quality education and healthcare to all irrespective of their socio-economic background. People of Haryana are seeing how better facilities are being provided in Delhi and Punjab. People want change,” said Kejriwal.
“And I am telling you, one month from now, a booth committee consisting of 10 people will be ready for every booth in Haryana,” he added.
He was accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann who accused the BJP of sheer arrogance on account of the last two wins in the Lok Sabha elections.
“People will break their arrogance. Every day BJP comes out with a new lie and a new jumla (fake promise). As elections in the country are near, these days BJP’s jumla-making factory is working round-the-clock because they have to sell these in the 2024 polls. Every promise they made has turned out to be a jumla”, said Mann.
Referring to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s statement in which he said many parties offered freebies to the public, Mann said the AAP was providing free electricity, free medicine and free education, adding that not even a single rupee of debt was raised in Delhi and Punjab for ensuring these facilities.
“Arvind Kejriwal made power free in Delhi. In Punjab too we made this promise and now nearly 90 percent of households get zero bills for electricity consumption in Punjab and power is available round-the-clock. We had guaranteed this and we fulfilled it”, Mann said
“We have plugged revenue leakage and the state coffers are being filled. 35,000 government jobs have been given in Punjab in one-and-a-half years. Apart from this, big companies are coming to invest in Punjab”, he added while highlighting his government’s achievement in a short tenure.
Mann said a corruption-free government was running in Punjab and more than 400 people were jailed on corruption charges so far.
